Rael Jones
Rael Jones is a Composer and Multi-Instrumentalist, based in London. He has recently completed the score to the Weinstein Company feature Suite Franaise, starring Michelle Williams, Kristen Scott Thomas and Sam Riley and directed by Saul Dibb. The film is based on the Irène Némirovsky novels about the German occupation in France, with a stunning orchestral and piano score recorded and mixed at Abbey Road Studios. Rael is currently scoring the coming-of-age drama Kids In Love, starring Cara Delevingne and Will Poulter. The film is produced by Ealing Studios and is due for release later this year. Other recent Composer credits include the feature documentary Still The Enemy Within, about the miners’ strike, due for selected cinematic release later this year; the Oscar- Nominated Director Ashvin Kumar’s film Dazed in Doon; Nyima Cartier’s debut feature White Lie, as well as TV series such as Channel 4’s Picture This and Channel 5’s Best House in the Street. Rael has also contributed additional music for the three series of the BBC’s hit drama Sherlock, working with composers David Arnold and Michael Price. Other Additional Composition credits include Horrid Henry: The Movie; and Island, starring Natalie Press and Colin Morgan. Creatively and technically adept and flexible, Rael has adopted many roles on feature films including: Music Editor, Music Producer, Orchestrator, Music Programmer, Session Musician, Sound Designer and Dialogue Editor. Rael worked on Tom Hooper’s film adaptation of Les Misérables as Additional Orchestrator, Music Editor and Music Programmer, for which he won a Golden Reel Award at the 2013 MPSE Awards in LA. Other notable film credits include Alan Partridge, The Inbetweeners Movie and Hyde Park on Hudson (as Music Editor), and Wild Target and Wild Child (as Music Producer).
